My guess is this demand is driven largely by players who want to bling out their decks, as I doubt too many people are looking to put Buddy-Buddy Poffin in a slab on their wall

While Mangaras first ability may not trigger too often (lifelink on a creature with four toughness makes for an unproductive combat step), playing multiple spells each turn in Commander is a forgone conclusion
