Where this card stands out is that both parents (but Pia especially) are the most well-developed set of parents in Magic lore
With Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow , your whole deal is striking with low-cost, evasive creatures, then launching your commander into play with ninjitsu, and reaping the rewards: plenty of card draw, and plenty of pain
Then, as unconditional hexproof gets more and more rare, the you have hexproof makes edicts and discard much harder to pull off, so I wouldn't say it's pro back, but then again, I'm the one setting up the barrier
No matter how you like to play Magic: the Gathering, it's almost guaranteed you'll have encountered a booster pack
It even does so at instant speed, no less
Dropping a [[Portal to Phyrexia]] early can end games, and this card lets you do that without convoluted setup
