There are many perfectly valid reasons to have cards graded, including: You want to (no reason needed, really!) Easier to collect on an insurance claim since the value is more absolute Easier for your heirs to deal with your cards someday Can be easier to sell since the quality of the card is arguably more validated Preservation purposes Why Not Grade Cards
