First Edition Blastoise (Base Set, Holographic) Blastoise may have lived in Charizards shadow, but its First Edition holographic card is just as legendary

however, the scale of its increase and especially the intra-year fluctuations are harder to understand

Putting together a deck revolving around a specific card or effect you like (and tweaking that deck over time as you find out what works and what doesn't) is strangely moreish

But the oldest and more enfranchised players out there are more used to the best-of-three format, where you get a sideboard with 15 cards strategically chosen to alter your deck between games to try to get an edge on your opponent
