Rather than trying to jam the biggest creatures into your deck, focus on cards that interact well together

This is now my favorite non-free counter in that format (spells are free if you cast their alternate cost like pitching a Blue card to Force of Will)

It also features several ways to copy lands (Vesuva, Copy Land) to artificially up the town count

Its not all Shire-friendly, either, with some true wrath coming in the form of Toxic Deluge, spot removal like Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares, and cards like The Gaffer to turn that lifegain into more card draw
