This is one of those cards that I have a strong personal connection to, and as a player and as a designer, I think that it serves as one of my kind of boundary cards

Formation is a nice combat trick to make a stronger band of creatures, save a defending creature you like, and has the added the benefit of drawing a card on your next upkeep

Garruk's Uprising even draws a card up front if the player already has a sufficiently large creature, and later creatures will mean more draws

Thats a full 2 month ahead of it's Global English release

And you get a bit of evasion to race bigger creatures with

Its not always easy to measure how effective is the card draw is, but most deckbuilders count as card draw only cards that net 2+ cards in hand
