Nowadays it is part of the Royal Armouries of Leeds. In 1414 the kingdom of Cyprus signed a peace treaty with the Egyptian Mamluks. In honor of this treaty the king of Cyprus sent many gifts to the sultan of the Mamluks, this sword was one of the gifts. The sword is a Milanese design and was found in the weapon arsenal of Alexandria. It is an Oakeshott type XIX and is provided with a finger ring
