The fringe is made of genuine Dentalium shells. These earrings are smaller and lightweight. The are only 2. 5 Inches long and 1 inch wide including the fringe. They come on Gold Plated Stainless Steel earwires, but you can change them out to studs or clip ons if you wish at no extra charge. These are GENUINE Indigenous beadwork as I am a proud Metis Kookum
