It inspired me to create this painting

the cold air sets in

to the more discreet such as the average of almost 5 earthquakes per day

Everyone is pitching to help as the day comes to an end

which began the idea for this particular painting I’d never been up to this specific area or this drainage itself I'd seen it on a map and I knew that it had the potential to produce some amazing views and it looked like the type of place that would harbor a lot of wildlife the first part of this trail was in dense vegetation it was in a lot of dark timber and through a lot of rocky area we didn't really see anything at all spectacular for about five miles and as we got closer however up to the tree line and to the high country it started to open up and then a couple miles later along the trail I came around a corner to one of the most stunning views that I've ever witnessed while living in this region it wasn't quite exactly the same as what I’ve painted here

"The Perfect Ride" - Northern Lights Dog Sled Art Print Countryside Scenes It inspired me to create"The Perfect Ride" A sled dog team rides through the night below the extraordinary colors of the Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky. I imagine the team skirting the edge of perhaps a spring fed creek which is shown down in the lower left. The dogs are kicking up the freshly fallen snow as they cut a new trail. As I imagine the feeling of the cool air and the illuminated landscape of their surroundings, I'm brought to a state of complete happiness.
