Whimsical Victorian Boot Vase Checkboard Brighten up your fall decorThis delicate vase is artistically hand painted. Purchased from an antique store, it brings to my mind, Mary Poppins! Can you imagine having to button those boots every day? After covering the solid maroon ceramic with spray primer I launched into the design process. Next I painted the tip and heel in French blue acrylic paint. The ivory checks are embellished with shades of yellow ochre and blue. The buttons and base of the heel are covered in gold
