When you fall overboard, the wrist strap tugs the cap off the switch, allowing earthing to kill the motor. This unit works on the retaining clip keeping the button in until the cap is removed by someone attached to the lanyard walking away from the switch or falling overboard. With the rubber cap on pushing a switch in, it stops the current through, when the cap comes off, the button ejects and allows
