the 2007 Côte Rôtie La Landonne was vinified with 100% stems (whereas the 2007 La Turque was completely destemmed)

This continued with an incredible long persistent finish

Very sweet and smooth even at 36 years old and far from decrepit

The aromas and flavours are perfectly balanced with a mellow woodiness

There are plenty of bass notes, punctuated by crisp acidity, and it all comes together on the fine texture, with aftertaste of roasted hazelnut and coffee.
