Description

This set of jewellery is inspired by the motif appearing just above the lower band of the Imperial State Crown

Mary had this beautiful tiara made in 1914 as a copy of the tiara given to her grandmother

This was then mounted on a bandeau base of alternate round and lozenge collets between two bands of diamonds

chastity and sincerity and diamonds represent power

Inspired from the original emerald and diamonds necklace and earrings parure which was made in 1806 by Nitot & Fils

Lace Leaf - Bracelet Red This set of jewellery isInspired from the front part of lace bodice by Thomas Lester of Bedfordshire, England between 1865 1875. He was one of the leading figures in the English hand made lace industry. The fern pattern is typical of his work and it would have been intended to be worn over a contrasting coloured silk, setting its pattern into clear relief.
