This reel carries the '83 patent date on the oil cap. Serial number K270 dating the reel to 1918. German silver hard rubber construction. German silver foot and spool. The reel foot is original, full length and a little kinked, but not overly objectionable and doesn't prevent it from fitting on the rods I tested.
