Paston Mill, Norfolk Gifts the rail was set atNot a very often painted mill, I was struck by the potential for a simple but dramatic scene here. The sky was of my own invention but I wanted to inject something into the painting to attract a little attention. My intention was to heavily contrast the mill cowl against a dark sky. I am always amazed when the sun highlights a scene against a dark sky and it was too tempting on this occasion. The dark sky lent itself conveniently to having the
