The Pigato vineyards are located at an altitude of 200 300m, on alkaline clay chalk soils rich in calcium. The grapes, harvested in September from 10 year old vines, are fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on their lees for a minimum of 5 months. Annual production is 10,000 bottles. The name "Pigato" comes from "Piche (macchia)," meaning "spot." Classification: Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC
