After the untimely death of Spratling in 1967 his ranch, and the rights to his designs, were sold to his friend Alberto Ulrich who established Sucesores de Spratling (Successors of Spratling) in 1969. Some of the silversmiths who worked for Spratling continued to work at the new company. Ulrich died in 2002 and his daughter
