Sometimes I wreck a map by tearing it or just doesn't turn out the way I wanted it to look

I have one of the large versions hanging in my bedroom and it's the last thing I see at night and the first I see the next morning

I was looking to do a piece that had a contemporary feel with a sense of movement

I tried to capture the "softness" of the morning

It was fun to do something different than my typical mountain tree scenes. I tried to capture the beautiful tonal quality in blues and greens between the sky and water. If you look closely, you can see a fine bead of silver (using our Molten Metal process) where the sky meets the water. That tiny glimmer is what makes this
