So what do you do if your fusible link blows? You can find a used one or have it rebuilt, but how long do you want to keep stringing your electrical protection along using 1880s technology in a 1980s truck? And finding a used one or having the link rebuilt doesn't help when your link blows in the middle of the backcountry.
