Rohrer & Klingner Lithographic Crayons Grade:Grade 4 Issue 34 featured artists/studios: AgustinRohrer & Klingner Litho Crayons are made of wax, tallow, and Syrian asphalt. The crayons are available as a box of 12 in six degrees of hardness, 0 to 5, with No. 0 being the softest, No. 5 the hardest, and No. 3 the most commonly applied lithographic crayon. Drawing with a hard crayon results in lighter, finer lines, especially when a smooth stone is used, whereas the soft crayon produces darker, thicker lines.
