Victorian Huge Japanese Bronze Shakudo Frog Pendant Amber A beautiful sterling silver muffShakudo is the use of mixed metal alloys and was originally used in Japanese armor and swords. Artisans would sometimes remove the Shakudo plaques from the armor and incorporate it into jewelry or art. It has become very collectible and quite unusual. This unique and very substantial pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era is a wonderful example of the Shakudo art form! The pendant has a very large, elongated shape with raised 3 dimensional detail.
