Antique French 18K Solid Gold Locket Ring Dated 1849 french_locket This lovely rosy gold acornThis beautiful sentimental ring was crafted in the very early Victorian period and is engraved on the interior band with the date 15 Avril 1839. The ring contains a glass panel which guards a lock of braded hair. On the larger side, it likely belonged to a man, and considering the fine, blond locks, it could have been a mourning locket for a child gone before. Hair jewelry was a common form of mourning jewelry or sentimental jewelry used to honor a
