English Staffordshire Pottery Lord Nelson Toby Jug wood candlestick turn-of-the-centuryDETAILS This antique figural toby jug is modelled as Admiral Horatio Nelson (British, 1758 1805), who died at the Battle of Trafalgar. He stands beside a cannon, with one hands tucked in his waistcoat, wearing a blue coat, white breeches and black bicorn hat. Plinth marked: Nelson. Possibly William Kent (Porcelains) Ltd. (Burslem, Stoke on Trent, England, 1894 1944). Originally designed in the potteries of Staffordshire England in the 1760s, Toby Jugs
