A wonderful gold horse's headThe opposite of a cameo, an intaglio is created by carving below the surface to produce an image in relief with the purpose of pressing into sealing wax. An incredible intaglio ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This bold ring is crafted in 14k yellow gold and features a square shaped hematite. The hematite is held within a bezel setting and displays the carved image of a solider. The soldier is shown in profile, and is adorned in intricate armor.
