These catfish are scavengers and can reach lengths up to 14 to 18 inches. They have a temperamental behavior and are part of the aggressive predatory family of pimelodidae. In their natural habit in the wild they hunt of a variety of food including but not limited to small crustaceans, fish, insects, and worms.
