A central glass is surrounded by a halo of natural seed pearls, which are likely original to the piece. As there is a small space between the opening "hatch" and the glass front, it can be filled with tiny gemstones to create a delicate shaker locket, or used to house a cherished memento. The pendant measures 29 x 21 x 5 mm (including the jump ring) and weighs 3. 97 grams.
