The pitting will not affect any cooking and is purely cosmetic

however because they are super lightweight and really a pleasure to finish

These were used over wood stoves back then so the sulfur pitting is a standard in these pieces

This is largely because the patterns were borrowed from other foundries, some because they were made by another larger foundry, and others simply because there are no clear markings. E. C.
