Florence born, he was multidisciplinary earning esteem for his paintings, sculptures, graphics and large scale frescos throughout Italy. In Stefano, Stefanelli vividly recalls the Renaissance. His subjects fixed gaze, clasped crucifix and drapery reminiscent of a monks robes reaches back to the Old Masters and suggests this work may have been a
