Domaine Chauveau, 'Calcaire', Coteaux du Giennois AC, 2024 Toolleen The nose opens with ripePale lemon in the glass, it opens with aromas of grapefruit zest, elderflower, and freshly cut grass, overlaid with a subtle chalky minerality and hints of white blossom. On the palate, its zippy and precise, a lively core of lemon and lime dances with green apple and gooseberry, while a thread of wet stone minerality adds definition. Lighter and slightly more floral than its Sancerre cousin, yet still driven by that Loire freshness and finesse.
