Aileen Brown 'Pink Tulips' minimalist inscribed with '1-14/15 lower leftAileen Brown began printmaking in 1982 when she met famed Australian artist Murray Griffin. Soon, she departed her former career as an occupational therapist to focus on art fulltime moving from printmaking with a wooden spoon to a sophisticated, process driven practice. Browns work is tranquil and balanced. She draws on her abundant garden, transcribing flowers, leaves, and birds, black lilies, poppies and camellias. These configurations elegant and
