(Middle East) Issued 1864, NY by Johnson and Ward. With inset vignettes of Muscat, Trebisond and Smyrna port. Beautiful mid 19th century antique map, lithographed with original hand color. There are numerous variant versions of this map, this J & W imprint only occurring briefly between c. 1862 66. Light uniform paper age toning, light age spotting and surface soiling, nothing offensive, nice visual appeal.
