Dating from the first half of the 19th century this wonderfull polychrome tea caddy box covered with traditionally hand painted millefleurs and borders. The colours of this caddy are subtle and beautiful and are much more muted than in later paper mach examples. Hand painted by skilled craftsmen in a golden mustard yellow with pinks,blues, reds and mauves, all highlighted with gold. A superb example of this traditional craft from Kashmir
